I’ve been up since 6am.
I don’t know why I woke up so early. but I kind of like it.
the light creeping in through the blinds is rather beautiful.
trying hard not to wake up brandon and my dog, who I brought up to boone for a couple days.
also trying to convince myself that I’m not going to stay in boone forever.
everything is so simple here. and these past couple summer days have been the best ever.
and now kristen and nathan are moving up to this amazing condo with their son.
it’s all so perfect here. I’m always content and happy.
I’m afraid I’m not going to leave when it’s time for me to graduate.
I just need to move to more mountains. colorado, you’ve been on my mind lately.
I’m going to get up, make some coffee, and leave these thoughts in the bed.

bahaha. this completely describes brandon and I’s relationship and an average night in boonetown.
I watched twilight last night and surprisingly, I sort of enjoyed it. at the end, flightless bird, american mouth by iron & wine played and I forgot how really good that song is. I’ve already listened to it about five times this mornging. I’m excited for the new iron & wine album coming out. some new songs, some re-did. it’s going to be good.
get-away time with mom was exactly what I needed. we got 80 minutes massages and all the knots in my back I got from stress during exams were worked out. I feel so amazing. asheville is the small city of my dreams. I’m still glad I decided to go to school in the boone mountains and not the asheville mountains because asheville is pretty classy for a college student. if I’m going to live there, I want to actually be able to afford to go out and let alone live there. ugh, money, money, money. I’m too close to being in the real world. halfway (well sort of) through college. that’s scary. I don’t want a real job. I’m not ready to make big decisions.

stayed in tonight, watched a movie with the parentals, listened to the new great lake swimmers album, started reading a new book, drank tea. good night. :]

but only for a couples hours. in a few hours, we’ll be waking up, packing up, and heading out the door. to the airport. to the bahamasssss. I can’t even sleep I’m so excited. I also can’t sleep because my ears are still ringing from the show tonight. ra ra riot was decent, death cab for cutie was amazing of course, but cold war kids were just plain FUN. I loved dancing to them. they were a blast to watch. I forgot how good they really are.
I am NEVER going to be able to fall asleep.

I bought a ukulele today.
